Dear Faye,
I am a fan of surfing from England. I am not a very good surfer myself
but I enjoy watching and admire anyone who competes. It is amazing
watching the very best, such as yourself, ride those waves. The surf
in Newquay, England, is good but I can imagine that the Gold Coast is
totally amazing. You are fantastic surfer and I must congratulate you
on all of your achievements so far...
When u done being a famous surfer :)
Remember we were real friends once? Hope the whole moving a way from big waves things on a piece of fiberglass is treating u well ;) Oh and cool blog… thats all!

Oakley World Pro Junior
So its my FIRST ever world junior games. Its not the real one with SA colours, green and gold what nots. This one you qualify for. Sarah Baum pulled out as she has been super busy with the WQS and still has a few years ahead of her. So I was next in line according to the WQS I think. Yay. What excitement.
The opening ceremony took place at Canggu beach, we all got to dress up in the traditional...

2011 WQS end.
Unfortunately didn’t get to surf my next heat, had to leave early to get my flight to Bali but ASP was so kind enough to give me my prize money and points! The year has now come to an end for the WQS and I’m off to World Juniors.

Billabong Azores Islands Pro
I made Round of 24 again. Yay for that. Dimity and Freyas 20th bday dinner was a scrumchous one. A crew of 15 headed down to a surprisingly fancy restaurant in ghetto town for some celebrations. We left it up to the chef to choose our meals and satisfy our hungry surfer tummies. The food was devoured.
Fascinating..
You could say the waves were somewhat dismal but that only made us want to search for more, and search we did. An hours walk through bushes, over cliffs, through cow and horse paddocks, under electric wires, through a river (this was possible as it was low tide) and lastly over a beach of volcanic rocks. Our long sweaty awaited treat: A perfect little left hand point break pretty much to...

The Azores Islands
A place I really am happy I got to explore. Our cosy apartment overlooked the waterfront and was in a shopping mall, a 15 minute drive to the contest site was easy as pie. I must say the first days drive through ghetto town in Rebeira Grande made me more than blessed to be living on the opposite side of the island.
Goodbye Pantin
San Andres de Teixido, Galicia, Spain.
On our last lay days in Spain we decided to do some touristy things. We went on a scenic drive through clouds and the woods until we reached San Andres de Teixido.
San Andres de Teixido is a small village set into a mountain in the far north of Galicia, and it is supposed to be a pilgrimage site for all Spaniards The area was stunning, we shopped for little what nots and had coffee at a corner...
IM NOT A FAN OF THE EUROPEAN SIESTA.
The contest ended yesterday. We stuck in Cedeira and there is nothing to do. As Nage described, ’ you staying another 3 days in this freaking poo hole’. She put it in much vulgar english but I cannot repeat that. Any repulsive language will be sorely rewarded with 5 to 10 push ups. I must say, on a 20km walk it got extremely amusing. Yes we went on an exercise hit. Myself and Philzy...
